Founding Executive Team
Dr. Radman ‘Radi’ Rahiminejad
Dr. Radman “Radi” Rahimi is the CEO and President of BackFit Health + Spine. He co-founded BackFit Health + Spine in 2002, merging forces with his sister Dr. Yasmin Rahimi to establish one of the most innovative and patient-care-driven Multi-Specialty health clinics in Arizona. His reputation as one of the most sought-after and affordable doctors in Chandler, Arizona, has earned Dr. Radi recognition and numerous awards. Dr. Radi has been in health and science since his undergraduate studies at Arizona State University.
Dr. Radi attended Arizona State University where he studied Psychology with a pre-med emphasis. Upon graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1996, Dr. Radi enrolled at the prestigious Palmer College of Chiropractic West Campus and graduated with his Doctorate in 2001. It was first at Palmer West where Dr. Radi became involved with sports chiropractic. His passion for sports rehabilitation set the groundwork to develop the concept of healthcare that is now the BackFit Health + Spine vision. Over the past many years, Dr. Radi made it his company’s mission to provide the best multi-specialty healthcare to all of Phoenix and beyond.
Dr. Radi stepped out of active practice several years ago to focus on improving the patient experience with regular training and mentoring of his clinical and support staff, as well as traveling nationally to research more potential services to further improve BackFit’s high level of patient service.
When he is not busy at BackFit, Dr. Radi enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and staying very active.

Dr. Yasmin Rahimi
Dr. Yasmin Rahimi founded BackFit Health + Spine in 2002. She has been involved with health sciences since her studies at the University of Arizona. Dr. Yas studied Exercise Physiology with a pre-med emphasis and a minor in Nutrition.
Upon completion of her undergraduate studies, Dr. Yas attended the prestigious Palmer College of Chiropractic West Campus. While in school, she was involved with the Palmer West Sports Council where she gained vast experience in sports injuries and acute care.
Because of her passion for sports and physiology, she incorporated complete rehab techniques and physiotherapy in the BackFit vision. During her post-doctorate years, she studied acupuncture and obtained a fellowship by the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture.
Dr. Yas has participated in numerous marathons and triathlons since her school days and now focuses her physical fitness towards national figure and aesthetics competitions. Her experience in such activities has allowed her to relate to many figure and endurance athletes and use her training and biomechanical knowledge to help with recovery and injury prevention. She also is very knowledgeable in nutrition and specializes in weight loss management and nutrition for athletics.
When not helping others at BackFit, Dr. Yas spends time caring for her twin daughters.

Dr. Jennifer Fontius
Dr. Jennifer Fontius is a board-certified medical doctor and has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including group practices and urgent care. She grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. She graduated from UCLA with a B.S. degree in Physiological Sciences. She then earned her medical degree at USC. She completed her residency at Kaiser Permanente at UCLA in Woodland Hills.
In addition to working directly with BackFit’s physician assistant team as a supervising physician, Dr. Fontius is also a clinical preceptor for the University of Arizona College of Medicine’s Phoenix Campus, as well as a certified health coach. She enjoys seeing patients of all ages with a particular interest in women’s health, weight management, and longevity/wellness.
In her free time, she enjoys the outdoors, sports, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Dr. Martha Reyes
Dr. Martha Reyes was born in Cali, Columbia. She attended the Universidad Libre Medical School in Columbia, becoming a medical doctor and surgeon. She has since completed her residency in Family Medicine at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
When Dr. Reyes is not working to improve patients’ lives, she enjoys SCUBA diving as a certified PADI diver. She says that “Diving offers me a different perspective on life.” She also enjoys reading and travel, and her family plays an important role in her life.

Dr. Edward Smith, MD
Edward A. Smith, MD, has been practicing Internal Medicine in the East Valley for over 30 years. He is an assistant clinical professor at the University of Arizona College of Medicine and received awards for Teacher Of The Year twice. He was a special assistant to the dean for several years. He is a senior research professor at the Translational Genomics Research Institute in Phoenix, where he developed a new method for cancer development. He loves seeing and working with his patients.
He has 7 children and 28 grandchildren.
