Shannon Gomez, MSOM, L.Ac. is a passionate acupuncturist driven by a desire for natural healing and patient wellness. Her educational background includes Northern Arizona University and Rainstar/Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture, where she earned her Master of Science in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) and Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.) credentials. Shannon is proficient in Spanish and offers acupuncture treatments specializing in pain management, gastrointestinal issues, and women’s health.

Fueled by a passion for natural health, Shannon’s journey to acupuncture included life-changing experiences. Externships in Beijing, China, deepened her knowledge, and volunteering with the Peace Corp focusing on women’s health and HIV education solidified her desire to empower others through natural healing methods.  Shannon strongly believes in a multi-disciplinary approach to healthcare, which is what drew her to BackFit where she collaborates with a team of specialists to provide patients with the most comprehensive care possible.

Outside of BackFit, Shannon enjoys spending quality time with her family, exploring nature through hiking adventures, and savoring delicious food from her global travels.  She also keeps her skills sharp by staying updated on advancements in the field, including the use of neuropuncture techniques.
