Dr. Randall Leraaen, D.C., M.U.A.C., was born and raised in St. Ansgar, IA, a small town of 1,100, and in which his Dad was the mayor.   Dr. Leraaen earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Iowa in 1993, and will forever bleed black and gold as an Iowa Hawkeye. During his college career at Iowa, Dr. Leraaen was involved in a car accident and received chiropractic care for his injuries.  This sparked his love for the chiropractic profession, and propelled Dr. Leraaen to attend the prestigious and world-renowned Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City, MO, so he could pursue his new dream of helping other people attain optimum health. Dr. Leraaen received his Doctorate of Chiropractic in 1993, and relocated to Phoenix, AZ, to begin living out his vision. 

Dr. Leraaen loves seeing his patients not only get out of pain, but maintain their health and wellness through regular chiropractic adjustments.  Dr. Leraaen has furthered his thirst for knowledge the past 26 years of practicing with regular continuing educational coursework, and also became certified in chiropractic acupuncture and manipulation under anesthesia. 

BackFit Health + Spine is a perfect “fit,” pardon the pun, for Dr. Leraaen’s practice style, as it offers patients many avenues and routes to attain optimum health including chiropractic, physical therapy, and medical treatment of spinal and extremity pain and disorders. BackFit Health + Spine also networks with a number of local medical offices and surgery centers as well to provide complete care for their patients’ conditions. 

In his spare time, he enjoys weightlifting, hiking, and biking with his beautiful wife DeAnna, and spending time with his family, friends, and 3 dogs.
