Growing up, Dr. Matt Lemke played competitive basketball and his high school team even won a state championship. Over the years of training, he had many injuries. He got involved in a Physical Therapy program for himself in order to speed up his ability to get back onto the court. While pursuing an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science, Dr. Matt continued his passion for basketball by coaching for AZ Prestige and Firestorm Basketball with the Amatuer Athletic Union (AAU) teams.

After receiving his Associate’s Degree, Dr. Matt attended the University of Arizona in Tucson for his Bachelor Degree in Physiology with a minor in Psychology. In 2016, he began working as an exercise therapist full time for Backfit before continuing his education at Franklin Pierce University. Dr. Matt is now board-certified and licensed with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT). Dr. Matt continuously strives to give high quality guidance, knowledge, and assistance to his patients so that they can get back to doing the things they love most.

In addition to his Doctorate’s degree, he has earned certifications in cupping and LSVT (Parkinson’s disease treatment program). Dr. Matt is knowledgeable and has clinical experience in treating various musculoskeletal, neurological, and vestibular (inner ear that controls balance) disorders. Becoming a Physical Therapist has incorporated both his desire to help others and his fascination with human anatomy and physiology.

Dr. Matt was born and raised in Chandler, Arizona. He has always had a passion for sports and helping others. Of six boys, he is the second oldest. In his spare time, Dr. Matt enjoys watching and playing sports, working out, and traveling to new places.
