Dr. Derek Pruni is a Co-Owner at the Mesa, AZ BackFit Health + Spine. He has been providing chiropractic adjustments for patients since 2009 and has become one of Mesa’s favorite Chiropractors.

Dr. Pruni was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he completed his pre-med requirements for an Associate’s degree in Biology. He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at the prestigious Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa in 1994. He has been in private practice helping patients achieve optimal wellness ever since.

Dr. Pruni has completed 100 hours of postgraduate work. He earned a certificate in rehabilitation of the spine from the American Chiropractic Rehabilitation Board. He specializes in sports injuries and is proficient in multiple chiropractic techniques including Gonstead, Diversified, Flexion/Distraction, and Activator methods. His favorite adjustment is a seated cervical adjustment.

Dr. Pruni also has extended training in family chiropractic, specifically adjusting infants and children. His focus on pediatric chiropractic is focusing on correcting nerve imbalance and spinal injury from birth trauma. He is passionate to help as many families as possible with pain relief and then stay well for their entire lifetime.
